its time for me to experience new things, to not worry about what people think, its about me and what i want. im going to do things because they make me happy and no one else. im excited for the future, come what may, im ready.

Downton Abbey

my new obsession.

This new series on PBS is about the Crawley family, Downton Abbey, the house keeping staff and all the adventures that go with running a large home in the early 1900's.

there is blooming romance and inheritance and feminist issues, black mail, lies and secrets

but what i love the most are the costumes. o.m.g. i am in love.

Mary and her mother Cora are always my favorites.

the detail is simply amazing.

I can't get enough of this show. its a great story and i love seeing what they are wearing. this is one of my all time favorite time periods for fashion, women were coming out of wearing corsets and starting to show more skin (ankles). not many people know of this time frame because it was so short, 10 years, 1910-1920. it doesn't have a name either, but it is so beautiful to me filled with hobble skirts and high waists. and the hats we must not forget the amazing hats. ahhh can i just go back in time for a day...please?

EPIC.

i do not overuse this word like the entire young population so it is safe to say that this is not loosely used.

this is the blizzard of 2011 in chicago.

snowmageddon, snowpocalypse, thundersnow, global warming....what ever you want to call it, it is epic. and i freaking LOVE it!

yep, i do this too.

once when i was in 2nd or third grade my friend came over and told me that her and her sister stuffed their bras and went somewhere, so we stuffed ours and walked around the neighborhood.

it was fun and every girl has done it.

i love the movie Funny Face. I think its my favorite Audrey movie. every time i watch it, it makes me want to be a beatnik....or at least dress like one.
